How to Care for Delicate Fabrics: Silk, Lace, and More

How to Care for Delicate Fabrics: Silk, Lace, and More

Delicate fabrics look so beautiful and luxurious, but they require special care and attention to keep them that fabulous for a long period of time. Having years of experience handling a wide variety of fabrics, we put together some tips and tricks for caring for delicate materials like silk, lace, chiffon and others.

Read the Care Label

The first step in caring for any delicate fabric is to read the care label. The label should provide information on the recommended washing and drying methods for the particular material. If the label says "dry clean only," then you should take the garment to a professional cleaner. If the label allows for machine washing, then you should use a gentle cycle and a mild detergent.

Hand Washing

If the care label recommends hand washing, fill a sink or basin with cool water and a mild detergent. Gently agitate the water to create suds. Add the garment to the water and swish it around for a few minutes. Then, drain the sink or basin and rinse the garment thoroughly with cool water. Be sure not to wring or twist the piece, as this can damage delicate fibres.

Drying

To dry delicate fabrics, lay them flat on a clean towel and gently press out any excess water. Then, roll the garment in the towel to remove even more moisture. After that, lay the garment flat on a drying rack or another clean towel to air dry. Avoid hanging delicate fabrics to dry, as this can stretch or distort them.

Ironing

If the fabric requires ironing, use a low heat setting and a pressing cloth to protect the delicate fibres. Iron the garment on the wrong side, and be sure to avoid pressing too hard or leaving the iron in one place for too long. This can cause scorching or other damage. Perhaps the best option for ironing delicates is with a vertical steamer. Those are used often by designers and in TV studios to ensure the models or TV hosts look their absolute best seconds before the catwalk or going live.

Storing

When storing delicate fabrics, avoid using wire hangers or plastic bags, as these can cause wrinkles or damage. Instead, use padded hangers or fold the garment and store it in a breathable garment bag.

Dealing with Stains

If a stain occurs, it's important to act quickly. Blot the stain with a clean cloth or paper towel to remove any excess liquid. Then, treat the stain with a mild detergent or stain remover that is appropriate for the fabric. Be sure to test the product on a small, inconspicuous area of the piece first, to ensure that it won't cause damage to the fabric.

Handling Lace

Lace is a particularly delicate fabric that requires special care. When washing lace, place it in a mesh laundry bag to protect it from snagging or tearing. Avoid using fabric softener, as this can weaken the delicate fibres. Instead, add a tablespoon of white vinegar to the rinse cycle to help remove any soap residue and keep the lace looking bright and fresh.

Caring for delicate fabrics such as silk, lace, chiffon and others can be challenging, but with the right techniques, you can keep your garments looking beautiful for years to come. Remember to always read the care label, use gentle washing and drying methods, avoid high heat, store the garment properly, and act quickly to treat any stains that occur. Of course, another safe option would be to book a professional laundry and ironing service with your local launderette.

6 Reasons Why You Should Hire a Professional for Your Spring Cleaning

6 Reasons Why You Should Hire a Professional for Your Spring Cleaning

Spring cleaning is an annual ritual that many homeowners undertake to welcome the new season with a clean and fresh home. However, while some people enjoy the process of deep cleaning their homes, others find it to be a daunting and time-consuming task. If you fall into the latter category, then hiring a professional cleaning service may be the perfect solution. In this article, we will explore six reasons why you should consider hiring a professional for your spring cleaning needs.

Saves Time and Effort

Deep cleaning your home is a laborious task - no two ways about it. Especially so, if you have a large home or a busy schedule. Hiring a professional cleaning service can save you a significant amount of time and effort, allowing you to focus on other important things you have to do or enjoy doing. Professional cleaners have developed comprehensive systems and use elaborate tools to speed up the process without compromising the quality.

Ensures a Thorough Cleaning

The essence of spring cleaning is to provide your home with a thorough cleanse. Professional cleaners are equipped with the latest cleaning machinery and products, which ensures that they are able to deep clean even the hardest-to-reach areas of your home with no missed details. Our teams know exactly where to start and finish, leaving your home looking and smelling fresh.

Improves Indoor Air Quality

Dust, allergens, and other pollutants can accumulate in your home over time, which is bad news for the air you breathe. A professional cleaning service can help improve indoor air quality by removing all those and other contaminants from your home. This can be particularly beneficial for those with allergies or respiratory issues. Let’s not forget hay fever season is already knocking on the door!

Helps Extend the Homely Feeling

Regular cleaning is important for setting the atmosphere right at home. But spring cleaning is just an add-on, which you simply cannot go without. Especially, if you want to keep that homely, relaxing and inviting feeling for longer. Dirt, germs and other harmful particles can lead to damage to your floors, walls, and other surfaces. A professional cleaning service can provide specialised cleaning solutions for different surfaces, helping to maintain their appearance and prolong their lifespan.

Reduces Stress and Anxiety

Cleaning on its own is not a task everyone takes lightly. Now imagine having to go through piles of clutter and mess before you even begin the actual cleaning. Stressful, huh? It’s stress that can be avoided. The answer is simple and it is usually just a phone call away to your local professional cleaners.

You can sit back and relax while the experts take care of everything, knowing that your home is in good hands.

Offers Flexibility

Professional cleaning services are flexible and can work around your schedule. Whether you need your home cleaned once a week or just once a year, they can cater for your requirements. This flexibility means that you can schedule a cleaning at a time that is convenient for you, without having to worry about taking time off work or rearranging your timetable.

Types of Ironing and When to Use Them

Types of Ironing and When to Use Them

Types of Ironing and When to Use Them:Ironing is one of the chores that divides opinions the most. Some people love it as they claim it calms their nerves and others absolutely hate it. And then, there are those who hold no strong sentiment towards the activity, but just don’t have the time to do it. Nevertheless, ironing is important for your appearance and for your health, so today we’ll take a look at the different types of ironing and when it is best to use them.

Traditional Dry Ironing

As the heading suggests, the most conventional and oldest method for flattening creased fabric is with a dry iron. It is a very simple machine with not many functionalities. You can only control the temperature and very often you may need to use a spray bottle if you are ironing more delicate items or the creases are too deep. Usually, those irons are rather heavy but useful if you mainly iron for disinfection purposes - baby clothes, for example, or cotton underwear.

Rotary Press

Rotary ironing presses are used in commercial settings. You are very unlikely to have one at home and use it just for your family’s needs. Those machines save time as they can easily straighten larger pieces of fabric like bed sheets, for instance. Rotary presses are also good for shirts, dresses and other pieces of clothing. They have an array of settings, which require some indepth knowledge, but do a great job.

Steam Ironing

Most households use steam irons. They have much more functionalities than the traditional dry hot iron and can be used on a lot more fabrics. The superpower of those irons, of course, is the steam which successfully flattens any creases on both delicate and thick fabrics. It would be impossible to nicely iron a pleated cotton skirt with a dry iron only. Lace underwear would likely be ruined if ironed on high temperature and without steam. Some professional ironing services also use steam iron for shirts and other clothing items.

Mobile Steamers

Mobile steamers are perfect for vertical ironing. In most cases, this could be extra thin and delicate fabrics, such as silk, tulle, chiffon. Eventing dresses and tuxedos, fine curtains, sheer shirts and other garments love a mobile steamer. This is also the favourite tool of fashion designers. They use it to straighten any last-minute imperfections on their creations, seconds before the models walk on the runway.

Mobile steamers are not very expensive and if you like ironing at home, you would probably benefit a lot from owning one.

For everyone who can’t be bothered or is simply short of time, there’s always a lovely ironing solution - a professional, reliable and well-qualified service. We, at Bredon Hill Cleaning services offer just that. Booking is easy and the pick-up and delivery - designed to fit your busy schedule. Because saving the day is kinda what we do for work and for pleasure.

Things You Didn’t Know About Your Vacuum Cleaner

Things You Didn’t Know About Your Vacuum Cleaner

Things You Didn’t Know About Your Vacuum Cleaner: The vacuum cleaner is the most popular household appliance and is number one in sales in most developed countries. It has become an inseparable part of our lives and we just can’t imagine cleaning without it. But we have some pretty interesting facts about vacuum cleaners, which we believe you didn’t know about. Let’s see if we were correct.

1.Modern vacuum cleaners can suck liquids.

The newer models of vacuum cleaners have the ability to suck water or other liquids. Previously, this was a big no-no. If you tried it with an older one, the machine would end up exploding. Now just imagine the mess that would create. Nope, too much of a disaster!

2. There are vacuum cleaners with dirt sensors.

Some newly developed machines have inbuilt sensors that detect the amount of dirt on the treated surface and tell you when it is clean enough. How much easier can vacuum cleaning really get? That’s already pretty awesome.

3. Robot vacuum cleaners are not as effective as standard vacuum cleaners.

Although we are all looking for convenience and robot vacuum cleaners have delivered that, we must say they don’t do the job as well as the standard vacuum cleaner does. The robots have less sucking power, less capacity and are not yet as intelligent as a human.

4. When the bag is halfway full, the suction power decreases significantly.

Most people think they need to change or empty the vacuum bag when it is almost full. In reality, however, if you want your machine to be fully effective you must not let the bag be more than 50% full.

5. A great vacuum cleaner can extract up to 95% of soil in the carpet.

The best vacuum cleaners on the market are extremely powerful and can clean allergens, dust and dirt from the carpet up to 95%. Unfortunately, no vacuum cleaning machine can be fully effective in carpet cleaning. Soft floor covering requires professional treatment at least twice a year to eliminate all allergens and trapped germs.

6. You can deodorise a room using your vacuum cleaner.

Bad smells in the room or coming from your vacuum cleaner? You can easily eliminate those by emptying the vacuum bag and putting a few drops of citrus essential oil on the filter. When you put the machine on, the scent from the oil will spread and act as a natural room freshener.

7. You can’t clean all surfaces with the same extension.

When you buy a vacuum cleaner make sure you read the manual. There is a reason why the machine comes with a variety of extensions. You can’t clean different surfaces effectively with the same extension. Also, most of the work is usually done by the brushes, but they can come in various sizes and shapes to be applied to different areas and materials.

How many of these facts did you know and how many came to you as a total surprise?

The Great Summer Washing Tips

The Great Summer Washing Tips

The Great Summer Washing Tips: Don’t you feel a lot more energised and motivated when the sun is out and shining? Perhaps, now is a good time to start the great summer washing. What’s that, you ask? Well, it is the event of washing everything in your house that doesn’t usually make the regular laundry cycles. This includes the pillows, the duvets, the cushions, the curtains and even the mattresses. It’s not so straightforward, so we think you will appreciate a few good tips from the professionals.

Washing the Pillows

Not all pillows can be washed at home. Some require dry cleaning to preserve their softness and fullness. Especially those that are filled with 100% duck down. However, if you have an ordinary, not very expensive pillow, you may be able to put it in the washing machine and not destroy it. Make sure you follow this advice.

Never wash more than two pillows in the same cycle. As they soak in water they become very heavy and could damage your washing machine.

Do not add too much detergent because this can cause bad smells after the wash.

Spin on high speed and once the cycle is finished use your hands to pinch through the pillows and help the filling get distributed evenly.

The last step is to put the pillows in the tumble dryer with two tennis balls. This would help restore their puffiness and softness.

Washing the Duvet

The treatment of the duvet is not much different than the washing of pillows. Depending on the thickness of it, you may not even be able to fit it in your washing machine. If you do, however, make sure you add absolutely nothing else to the same load.

When the washing is complete, let the duvet air dry if possible. Sunlight is a great antibacterial agent, but for people who suffer from hay fever, sun drying clothes and bed linen or covers is not recommended. In such instances, the tumble dryer does a fantastic job. The tennis balls will be required once again.

Washing the Cushions

Cushions and pillows are pretty much the same except the former are usually smaller. Another difference could be the filling, which for cushions is often synthetic. This means that you should be extra careful when you dry them after a wash. Due to their smaller size, cushions should air dry fairly quickly.

One more tip - never wash the cushions with their covers. Always remove the cases before you put them in the washing machine. The cushion covers can be washed with your regular laundry cycles if needed.

Washing the Curtains

When it comes to delicate, fine curtains, you should be very careful. You may be able to machine wash them at home, but always read the manufacturer instructions first. Most sheer fabrics require low temperature washing and cannot be tumble dried.

Also, you may opt out of a spin cycle as this would cause a lot of creases. Ironing delicate curtains is another challenge of its own.

Thick and heavy curtains should not be handled in a domestic washing machine. Your best option here is steam cleaning them as they hang from the rail.

Washing the Mattress

Early summer is the absolute best time to wash your mattress. Second best is right before winter.

As everything else you touch and use, your mattress also collects and traps bacteria, dust and other allergens. If you are having some trouble sleeping at night, one of the reasons could be your mattress needs a clean.

Obviously, this is not something you can pop in the washing machine or take to the dry cleaners. Steam cleaners, however, do an amazing job when it comes to mattress cleansing. Your upholstery and carpet cleaners should be able to help with the task.

Laundry Mistakes People Make

Laundry Mistakes People Make

Laundry Mistakes People Make: How hard can it be to wash your clothes, considering a machine does it for you, right?

Quite hard, in fact.

As professional cleaners we have seen numerous piles of ruined clothes and bed linen in so many households. That’s one of the reasons we branched out and introduced another line of services - laundry and ironing. It is incredible how wrong washing of clothes can go and how many laundry mistakes people actually make.

Not Separating Clothes by Colour

Sounds so trivial, but people still put an odd red sock or a pair of colourful panties with the whites and then everyone at home is forced to wear pink…

Whites wash best if done separately from any other colours. It retains their brightness and that feeling of pristine cleanliness. Dark coloured clothes should not be mixed with bright items. They would make the latter look dull.

And here’s a myth bust - any colourful fabric can cause a colour leak. Nope. It depends on the fabric, the dye and how both have been treated. Always test new colourful clothes by soaking them in lukewarm water. If there’s no colour leak, they are safe to go in the washing machine with the rest of the colourful laundry. Or to make your life easier, just use colour picking sheets. You can buy them in most supermarkets and, of course, on Amazon.

Not Separating Clothes by Fabric

Did you really think you can wash your woollen sweater with your jeans? Come on now, technology does most of the work for us, but minimal effort is still required.

Different fabrics should be washed on different programmes, different water temperatures and some would require no spin. Furthermore, different fabrics will dry differently. If you use a tumble dryer you should make sure you separate your laundry by fabric to avoid wet spots and longer drying time.

Using Too Much Detergent

A lot of people think that if clothes are very dirty they need a double dose of detergent to wash well. No. Just no.

Putting too much detergent with your laundry is, in fact, a big mistake. It can cause more harm than good. One of the possible consequences is an allergic reaction. Those products contain a lot of chemicals which may be safe when used in the prescribed amount, but potentially toxic if that amount is exceeded.

Another very common effect of using too much detergent is the occurrence of a bad smell on your clothes. Ever taken the laundry from the washing machine and wondered why it smells so gross? Well, how much washing liquid or how many pods exactly did you put in?

Remember, it’s not the quantity of detergent that you use, but the quality and whether it is the right type for the stains you are trying to remove.

Not Running on a Schedule

Chaotic laundry days could be avoided if you simply introduce a schedule. Depending on your household size and needs you may need to wash one, two or more times a week. But it is absolutely imperative that you keep on track in those days. Piles can grow really quickly if you don’t pay attention and working through them afterwards is a struggle. Bringing structure into your chores does pay off and saves you the hassle.

Ways Ironing Can Improve Your Life

Ways Ironing Can Improve Your Life

To many people ironing is just an annoying chore, but we say it comes with many valuable benefits. In fact, it has the power to improve your life in so many different ways. Ready to go through some of them?

Get a Better Job

In the era of working from home and not stressing yourself too much to look presentable, you are probably thinking this point is kind of outdated. Except it is not. Even full time WFH positions go through an online video interview where the interviewers still care about your attire presentation, at least in 80% of the cases. On a subconscious level, clean and tidy clothes make people believe you are a professional and reliable individual. Not that your T-shirt and pyjama bottoms make you any less of that, but putting an effort into how you look still counts.

Calm Your Nerves

This one may not work for everyone, but over the years we have met hundreds of people who say ironing is the only chore they enjoy because it helps them relax. Furthermore, official statistics show that in the UK, over half of the ironing at home is done by men. So, there might be a valid link between clothes pressing and stress relief. What do you think?

Provide an Allergy Relief

While ironing for relaxation purposes is still to be scientifically proven, there is existing evidence that it can provide much valuable allergy relief. People suffering from hay fever or allergy to chemicals are advised to always iron their clothes before wearing them. The hot temperature and steam can dissolve a variety of allergens, including pollen and synthetic agents.

Make You Sleep Better at Night

Have you noticed you sleep better on freshly washed bed sheets? You would sleep even better if you have them ironed. They feel much better in contact with the skin and do not cause any irritation as the possible allergens have been destroyed. Steam pressing the bedsheets would also help you breathe easier at night and let your brain go into deep sleep for longer.

Protect You Against Diseases

Ironing is common natural protection against bacterial or viral infections. Many germs can spend several hours or days on fabric even after it has been washed and potentially make you or someone who lives with you ill. Bacteria and viruses, however, cannot withstand the temperature of a hot iron and their cells are destroyed. Some experts recommend ironing baby clothes for this very reason.

Prompt People to Admire You More Often

Like we said, people are generally more drawn to a clean and tidy appearance. Your ironed clothes will certainly get you more admiring looks and a bunch of compliments. Who doesn’t like hearing a few good words about themselves on a not so great day?

Do you have the habit of ironing your clothes? Do you like or hate the actual activity? Maybe you can try professional ironing services to save some time and still experience all the benefits.

How to Take Care of Your Washing Machine

How to Take Care of Your Washing Machine

How to Take Care of Your Washing Machine: Did you know you can extend the life of your washing machine by at least 3 years if you maintain it properly? The fact that it does the cleaning of your clothes for you doesn’t mean you should forget to clean it. In fact, there are so many little things that most people miss when it comes to big appliances and it costs them a lot of money in the end. Good thing you are reading this, so you get an idea of how to take proper care of your washing machine.

Deep Clean

First and foremost, your washing machine needs a deep clean every 3-6 months. The more frequently you use it, the more frequently you’ll have to give it a thorough clean. Descaling is the biggest part. With every wash, micro-scale builds up on the metal and impacts the efficiency of the machine. That’s the reason why sometimes your clothes come out of a cycle not as clean as you would expect them to be. Use a quality descaler, which will clean, but at the same time, protect the metal parts of the machine and then move on to other parts of the appliance.

Clean the Rubber Gasket

Another very common reason for dirty “just washed” laundry and really bad smells is a contaminated rubber gasket. This area usually remains damp the longest, which is a fantastic prerequisite for the development of mould and other nasties. Use a cotton bud or a Q-tip to clean the hard-to-reach places between the rubber gasket and the inside parts of the machine as well as the door glass.

Clean the Filter

Your washing machine will stop working properly if you do not clean the filter regularly. In fact, that kind of negligence can cause much bigger problems, like machine breakdown or even flooding. Once a month is a good starting point for a filter clean. If you wash daily, however, you may need to clean it once every two weeks instead.

Clean the Detergent Compartment

We’ve seen extreme cases of terribly maintained washing machines where the detergent and fabric softener compartment was never ever cleaned. As a result, it was all mouldy and gross. All this bacteria goes onto the fabric of your clothes and then on your body. Just because you put a cleaning agent in that box, doesn’t mean it should not be cleaned appropriately. After every use, wipe the compartment with a wet sponge and then with a dry cloth to avoid dampness retention. Even if you use washing capsules straight into the core of the machine, the detergent compartment will still need some attention from time to time.

Leav the Door Open after the Last Cycle

Always leave the door open for at least half an hour after your last washing cycle. This is to prevent the growth of mould and development of any unpleasant smells. To be extra sure there’s no dampness left, you can wipe the tub with a clean dry cotton towel.

Why do People Hire Domestic Cleaners

Why do People Hire Domestic Cleaners

Why do People Hire Domestic Cleaners: Some people still live with the misconception that those who hire domestic cleaners do it because they are too lazy to get on with their house chores. But in our long years of experience, we have had clients from all walks of life, at different ages and with different circumstances. None of those clients we would describe as lazy. We’ve had busy professionals with glowing careers, stay-at-home moms, who just couldn’t get it all done, elderly citizens, who simply weren’t as energetic or capable as before and many, many other people with different stories. So, when we get asked why people hire domestic cleaners, we usually point out these 5 reasons, just as a starting point.

To Save Time

Cleaning does take a lot of time, especially if you are not a professional. Working individuals often don’t have the luxury to dedicate a few hours a week to cleaning their homes because they have long hours at work and sometimes have to travel outside of the city. On top of that, many of them have families that need attention, and 24 hours in a day never seem to be enough. Trying to fit it all is extremely stressful and detrimental to most people’s mental health. Having a domestic cleaner takes that burden off. What an ordinary person can clean in 2 hours, a professional could fit into 45 minutes to an hour. It saves time that could be dedicated to other areas of life that make us complete and satisfied humans.

To Enjoy Fun Activities

Imagine living a life where you go to work, come back home to do chores, check on the kids and go to bed absolutely exhausted. Sadly, that’s the reality for many, many people. Life could be a lot more enjoyable if those people hired a domestic cleaner. We know, this is a luxury service and therefore, it is not affordable for each and every household. But we also know there are families or individuals who can afford the service, yet they choose not to, mainly because of insecurities, fears or misconceptions. Your cleaning lady can be your pass to a fun afternoon with your children, a night out with friends or simply a spa day on your own.

To Relax

Everyone needs to unwind and just relax once in a while. Even stay-at-home moms who don’t go to work. In fact, they need it the most. Raising children and organising your family’s life is a lot more demanding and stressful than society believes. There is no shame in having a domestic cleaner even if you are staying at home most of the time. You too need those moments for yourself away from the mop and the vacuum cleaner.

To Have a Safe and Healthy Home

Professional cleaners undergo special training and have access to much stronger and more efficient cleaning products and tools than we can find in stores. Domestic cleaning is more than making your home look neat and pretty. It is a health investment for your entire family. Regular professional cleans will minimise the risk of bacterial and viral infections in your property, relieve allergy symptoms and improve your sleep.

To Avoid Damage

Cleaning one’s home may be something natural to many people, but unless you are a professional, the risk of damage to various surfaces and items is always high. A lot of our clients choose to hire us to avoid cleaning related accidents, which can be very serious. It is even more important for people who are renting a property because mishandling of cleaning products or methods can cause permanent damage to the carpets, floors, furniture or appliances owned by the landlord. All those faults will lead to a deduction from the security deposit the tenants have paid before moving in.

Do you have a domestic cleaner? What is (or would be) your main reason to hire one?

Home Services that Simplify Your Life

Home Services that Simplify Your Life

Home Services that Simplify Your Life:Life is meant to be enjoyed, right? But that’s not always possible when you have a million tasks to complete and 24 hours in a day never seem to be enough. For many people, household chores are extremely tiring and frustrating because they take up precious time, which various individuals would love to spend doing something else. If you are one of these people, we can suggest a few home services that can simplify your life.

Domestic Cleaning

Regular domestic cleaning is a life saver for millions of households across Britain. Whether you require a cleaner fortnightly, weekly or more frequently, depends on the size of your home and your needs as an individual or a family. It brings such peace of mind, knowing that your space is clean and safe and you don’t have to do the tedious work yourself. As professionals, we also recommend booking a deep cleaning service once every 3 months to make sure appliances and spots behind and under heavy furniture are attended to as well.

Gardening

Gardening is fun for some people, but others don’t even have a clue where to start from. And a messy garden does take away from the joy of spending the warm summer nights and mornings outside. Professional gardening services are not the cheapest, however, they are worth every penny. The value you get lies not only in the aesthetics, but also in the time and energy you’ve saved, as well as the increased garden safety.

Laundry & Ironing

Something as simple as taking the dirty clothes to the washing machine and pressing one button can become very complicated for busy workers and large families. Households like these can greatly benefit from professional launderette near them. Especially, if it offers flexible pick up and delivery services.

Loving your crisp look but never having the time to iron your clothes? Don’t worry, you are not alone. Thousands of professionals rely on local ironing services to help them look their best at work and in their everyday life. Ironing is important not only for your appearance, but also for your health. It is proven that it eliminates almost all known germs and can also remove allergens from your clothes.

Personal Grocery Shoppers

Online shopping is a great idea but it also takes time once you start browsing through all the items. What’s more important, almost no grocery shop does same-day delivery. With personal grocery shoppers you can quickly go through your shopping list, pay for the items and service fee and have your products delivered to your home in less than an hour. This works for smaller orders, but it is incredibly convenient when you are rushing to make dinner and have no time to go to the shop yourself. It’s much healthier than ordering takeaway food regularly.

We, at Bredon Hill Cleaning Services, can help you with at least two of the above life-simplifying solutions. And we surely can recommend someone local for the rest. After all, life is meant to be enjoyed, not suffered!
